Godzilla 1990's (also referred to as Godzilla 90's) is a secondary monster of the Atari Godzilla Trilogy, appearing in all three games. He is a Starter character in the first two games and a secret character in the last one. He is noted for being slightly slower than his more prominent incarnation, but balances it by having a more powerful ranged thermonuclear breath weapon. He is portrayed as a member of the Earth Defenders faction, but is not playable in story mode for the Wii version of Godzilla: Unleashed.

He is based upon Godzilla as he appears in the 1989 film Godzilla vs. Biollante through the 1995 film Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, with his appearance in the latter film being reflected in his Critical Mass form in "Godzilla: Unleashed".

Biography

Born of a failed attempt by aliens from the future to destroy Godzilla in the past, Godzilla '90s is a larger, stronger version of his original form. This "reborn" version of the original mutated Godzillasaurus ravaged an unprepared human populace with a renewed thirst for destruction. Godzilla '90s' re-emergence as a monster superpower reminded all those standing in his way that the "King of the Monsters" had returned.
